String Eggs are a great Easter project for kids. This year we made some string (yarn) eggs for Easter but they are a little different, they have little treats inside. You can place toys, chocolates or messages in as well. They are perfect  for giving as gifts for Easter.

Materials

•     Small water balloons
•     Crochet thread/ embroidery thread/ yarn/string  
•     Chocolate, small toys or trinkets
•      White glue

Tools:

•       a bowl
•        Optional: pump for blowing up balloons

Instructions

Step 1

Insert some chocolates into the balloon.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix the glue with a small amount of water to thin out the glue quite a few of them dump the entire bottle of glue into the bowl and thin with water. As you add the water to the glue stir until it’s mixed well.

Step3

Place your string in the glue mixture and stir to completely cover the string in glue.

Step 4

Blow the balloon up

Step 5

Wrap your string around the balloon. There is no right or wrong way to do this.

Step 6

Let the string/glue dry for overnight

Step 7

Once the string is completely dry and harden pop the balloons with scissors or a pin.

Step 8

Finally,  pull out the deflated balloon with tweezers.
